Pre-market Movers For July 29 (SKA, ELN, OMC, PRGO, WYNN, CHTP)
(RTTNews) - Gainers:
Saks Inc. (SKS) is rising more than 3 percent to $15.87. Hudson's Bay Co. (HBC.TO) has agreed to acquire the company for $16.00 per share in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $2.9 billion, including debt.
Elan Corporation, plc (ELN) is up 7 percent to $15.97. Perrigo Co. (PRGO) has agreed to acquire the company in cash and stock transaction, which is valued at approximately $8.6 billion. The transaction values each Elan share at $16.50. At the close of the transaction, Perrigo and Elan will be combined under New Perrigo, a new company incorporated in Ireland. PRGO is down 2 percent to $131.50.
Omnicom Group Inc. (OMC) is up over 6 percent to $69.40. The company and Publicis Groupe SA (PUBGY.PK, PGPEF.PK) have agreed to merge to create the world's biggest ad agency worth $35.1 billion or 26.5 billion euros. The merged company will be called Publicis Omnicom Group, and would have market capitalization of $35.1 billion and generate annual sales of $22.7 billion.
Decliners:
Wynn Resorts Ltd. (WYNN) is down 1 percent to $129.00 as the company's second quarter results were below Wall Street view.
Chelsea Therapeutics International Ltd. (CHTP) is falling 8 percent to $2.83 following the news that FDA has identified certain technical deficiencies in the resubmitted New Drug Application for NORTHERA.
