Praxair Confirms Preliminary Talks On Potential Merger With Linde

(RTTNews) - Praxair, Inc. (PX) confirmed that it is currently in preliminary discussions with Linde AG (LDE.L, LNAGF.PK) regarding a potential merger. These discussions are ongoing and there can be no assurance that they will result in a transaction, or on what terms any transaction may occur.

Earlier today, Linde confirmed that it is in preliminary talks about a potential merger with Praxair. These discussions are ongoing and have not resulted in any concrete results or agreements yet. Accordingly it is currently not foreseeable whether there will be any kind of transaction.

On Monday, the Wall Street Journal reported that Praxair was in discussions to merge with Germany's Linde AG.
