Platinum Equity To Sell Ulticom To Mavenir Systems - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Platinum Equity said it has agreed to sell Ulticom to Mavenir Systems (MVNR), a provider of software-based networking solutions. Ulticom is a provider of signaling software used in communications networks. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The transaction is expected to close on or before January 30, 2015. Platinum Equity acquired Ulticom through a public-to-private transaction in December 2010.

In a separate statement, Mavenir Systems noted that the acquisition will enhance its portfolio of next generation software products to include a scalable, virtualized Diameter Signaling Controller or DSC.

The DSC is an increasingly critical network element which efficiently scales mobile operator networks and securely provides interoperable 4G LTE and Voice over LTE or VoLTE services.
