Pioneer Offers a Choice in Satellite Radio Service with New Add-On SIR

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 5, 2005--With the surging popularity of satellite radio due to its wide variety of programming and commercial-free format, Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc., the established leader in mobile entertainment products, today introduced the SIR-PNR1 add-on SIRIUS Satellite Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI) tuner, giving consumers the choice in satellite radio service. Compatible with SAT Ready and most IP-Bus Pioneer head units, the SIR-PNR1 tuner comes equipped with all the installation hardware including the SIRIUS antenna.

Combined with a Pioneer head unit and activation, the SIR-PNR1 tuner accesses SIRIUS Satellite Radio's 120 channels of coast-to-coast digital-quality broadcasts that include music, news, sports and talk radio channels. Pioneer headunits will display channel, artist, album and song names with the ability to scroll.
The Pioneer SIR-PNR1 add-on tuner will be available in January 2005 with a suggested retail price of $120.
