Perry Ellis Q2 Loss Narrows, Boosts 2016 EPS Outlok - Quick Facts
(RTTNews) - Apparel maker Perry Ellis International, Inc. (PERY) reported that second-quarter net loss narrowed to $1.28 million or $0.09 per share from $1.62 million or $0.11 per share in the prior-year quarter.
Excluding items, adjusted net income for the quarter was $4.77 million or $0.31 per share, compared to adjusted loss of $1.14 million or $0.08 per share in the year-ago quarter.
On average, five analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report breakeven per share results for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Total revenue for the quarter grew 5 percent to $213.30 million from $203.53 million in the same quarter last year. Wall Street expected revenues of $ 203.60 million for the quarter.
Looking ahead to fiscal 2016, the company raised adjusted earnings guidance to a range of $1.78 to $1.85 per share from the previous guidance range of $1.68 to $1.75 per share, while continuing to project revenues between $925 million and $935 million.
Street is currently looking for full-year 2016 earnings of $1.73 per share on annual revenues of $930.48 million.
