Papa John's International Reports 16% Gain In Q4 Profit

(RTTNews) - Papa John's International (PZZA) revealed earnings for its fourth quarter that gained ground compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line rose to $24.47 million, or $0.62 per share. This was higher than $21.11 million, or $0.52 per share, in last year's fourth quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.57 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter fell 2.0% to $416.82 million. This was down from $425.51 million last year.
