Panera Bread Co. Profit Declines 8% In Q3

(RTTNews) - Panera Bread Co. (PNRA) revealed earnings for third quarter that lost ground from last year.

The company said its profit came in at $33.78 million, or $1.32 per share. This was down from $36.90 million, or $1.38 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $1.31 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 7.2% to $664.65 million. This was up from $619.89 million last year.
