Pacific Sunwear Loss Narrower Than Estimates

(RTTNews) - Specialty retailer Pacific Sunwear of California Inc (PSUN) Wednesday reported third-quarter net loss of $469 thousand or $0.01 per share compared with a profit of $17 million or $0.23 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted loss for the quarter was $0.03 per share compared with a loss of $0.05 per share a year ago.

Revenues for the quarter were $212.3 million compared with $202.8 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated a loss of $0.04 per share on revenues of $208 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For the fourth quarter, the company expects adjusted loss of $0.17 to $0.12 per share on revenues of $218 million to $227 million. Analysts expect a loss of $0.12 per share on revenues of $221.7 million.
