Outremer Telecom and RIM Launch the BlackBerry Solution in French Overseas Regions

Groupe Outremer Telecom (Paris:OMT) (FR0010425587 – OMT), the leading alternative telecom operator in the French Overseas Regions (FOR), and Research In Motion (RIM) (NASDAQ: RIMM; TSX: RIM), a global leader in mobile communications, today launched the BlackBerry® solution for Outremer Telecom customers in Martinique, Guadeloupe, French Guyana, Reunion and Mayotte.

The BlackBerry solution brings together smartphones, software and services to allow easy wireless access to industry-leading email and messaging, social networking, phone, organizer, web, multimedia and other mobile business and lifestyle applications. Outremer Telecom customers will now be able to enjoy the freedom and productivity benefits of using BlackBerry smartphones to stay connected while on the go.

Outremer Telecom will initially offer the BlackBerry® Bold™ 9780 and BlackBerry® Curve™ 3G smartphones, as well as several BlackBerry service plans.
