Ober|Kaler Announces the Eighth Annual Women in Construction Conference

WASHINGTON, Sept. 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The law firm of Ober|Kaler is pleased to announce the eighth annual Women in Construction Conference (www.WomenInConstructionConference.com), to be held on October 24, 2013 at the Hyatt Regency, Bethesda, Maryland.

Harvey Rubin, MD, PhD, Director of the University of Pennsylvania's Institute for Strategic Threat Analysis and Response (ISTAR), joins the conference as keynote speaker this year. Dr. Rubin has advised both DOD and MI6 of the intersection between terrorism and infrastructure in the aftermath of 9/11. 

Co-founded by Ober|Kaler's Barbara Werther, a construction litigation attorney for over 30 years, and Barbara Wagner, Executive VP at Clark Construction, the mission of the Women in Construction Conference is to provide an avenue for younger women to learn from those who are "more seasoned" and to offer networking and mentoring opportunities to all attendees. Every year 150-200 women and men attend the full-day event, from law firms, consulting companies, construction companies, trade associations, non-profits, engineering firms and architecture firms across the US and Canada.
