NTT Docomo Q1 Profit Climbs, Maintains FY16 Outlook - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Japanese mobile operator NTT Docomo Inc. (DCM) reported Wednesday that its fist-quarter attributable net income increased 23.8 percent to 168.78 billion yen from last year's 136.38 billion yen. Basic earnings per share were 43.48 yen, compared to 32.89 yen a year ago.

Operating income for the quarter increased 12.3 percent to 235.40 billion yen.

Operating revenues edged up 0.1 percent to 1.077 trillion yen from 1.075 trillion yen last year.

Looking ahead for fiscal year ending March 31, 2016, the company continues to expect net income attributable to the company of 470 billion yen and 121.09 yen per basic share and operating revenues of 4.51 trillion yen.

The outlook represents a 14.6 percent year-over-year increase in net income and a 2.9 percent increase in revenues.
