Nissan Guam hosts 7.5K Flag Race to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guam, Guam Girl Scouts, Catholic Social Services

TAMUNING, Guam, May 4, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The entire community of Guam is invited to come out and represent their national colors with pride at the 8th Annual Nissan 7.5K Flag Run starting at 6:00 a.m.on June 10, 2017. There are two different options for taking on this race: a 2K fun run or walk and the 7.5K race.

All the proceeds from this event are going to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guam, Guam Girl Scouts and the Catholic Social Services, which helps to provide shelter and care for countless people.

The aim of the 7.5K Flag Race presented by Nissan is to benefit the children on Guam through the Guam Girl Scouts and through the Big Brothers Big Sisters' mentoring programs. By adding the Catholic Social Services, the benefits also reach out to other segments of the island's community so all can benefit from the race.

Awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers overall, as well as the top three division winners. Water stations will be available throughout the course, so runners will not need to worry about getting dehydrated in Guam's hot and humid weather.
