Nimble Storage Q2 Results Top Estimates

(RTTNews) - Nimble Storage, Inc. (NMBL) reported a net loss for the second quarter of $30.1 million or $0.38 per share, compared to a net loss of $26.1 million or $0.37 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Excluding items, adjusted net loss for the second quarter was $7.8 million or $0.10 per share, compared to an adjusted net loss of $10.9 million or $0.15 per share in the second quarter of last year.

Total revenue for the second quarter rose 49% to $80.1 million from $53.8 million a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.11 per share on revenue of $78.57 million for the second quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking forward to the third quarter, the flash storage solutions company forecasts total revenue of $86.0 to $88.0 million and an adjusted loss per share of $0.08 to $0.09. Analysts currently expect the company to report a loss of $0.07 per share on revenue of $86.02 million for the third quarter.
