New 2018 Toyota Highlander arrives at Decatur Toyota dealership

DECATUR, Ala., Jan. 29, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Serra Toyota of Decatur has recently introduced the new 2018 model year of the famous Toyota Highlander SUV into its inventory. This addition expands options for customers searching for a new SUV and gives current Highlander owners new incentives to trade in current models for the 2018 model year.  

The new model year of the Toyota Highlander has numerous updates and upgrades for drivers to enjoy. This model year comes with a standard 3.5-liter D-4S Injection V6 engine. This engine was introduced for the 2017 model year of the Highlander and can produce 295 horsepower and 263 pound-feet of torque. Powerful and capable, this engine also helps to increase fuel economy through the use of its Stop and Start Engine System (S&S) that is present in all Highlander V6 gas models, excluding LE model grade. 

Equipped with advanced safety features, the 2018 model year of the famous Highlander has standard Toyota Safety Sense P (TSS-P) driver-assist technology. This system combines the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection (PCS w/ PD) function, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist (LDA w/ SA) function, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) and Automatic High Beams (AHB). As well as these technologies, all the Highlander model grades also have a standard backup camera to increase visibility and convenience.  

As with previous model years of the Highlander, the 2018 model year is built with families in mind. This Highlander has a total cabin volume of 158.7 cubic feet. With all the seats in use, drivers will have access to 13.8 cubic feet of cargo space. This can be increased to 42.3 cubic feet with the third-row seating folded down. A total max cargo volume of 83.7 cubic feet in available to drivers with all the rear seating folded down.
