Neptune, Acasti President And CEO Henri Harland Resigns, Effective Immediately

(RTTNews) - Neptune Technologies & Bioressources Inc. (NEPT, NTB.V), a Canadian developer of marine-derived omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, and emerging biopharmaceutical companies Acasti Pharma Inc. (ACST, APO.V) and NeuroBioPharm Inc. jointly announced Monday the resignation of Henri Harland as their President and Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect.

Harland remains a Director of Neptune, Acasti and NeuroBio. Neptune respectively holds approximately 49 percent of the participating and voting rights of Acasti and 96 percent of the voting rights of NeuroBio.

The companies said their businesses will continue to be managed by a management and operations committee under the leadership of Neptune's Chief Financial Officer André Godin. The search for a new President and Chief Executive Officer will commence immediately.

In pre-market activity on the Nasdaq, Neptune shares gained $0.27 or 12.11 percent, and traded at $2.50, and Acasti shares gained $0.06 or 6.17 percent, and traded at $1.03.
