NCI Building Systems Q2 Loss Narrows

(RTTNews) - NCI Building Systems, Inc. (NCS) posted second-quarter net loss applicable to common shares of $4.9 million or $0.07 per share, narrower than $5.3 million or $0.28 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

Excluding items, NCI generated an adjusted net loss of $5.28 million or $0.07 per share, narrower than $5.34 million or $0.28 per share in the prior year period.

Sales for the latest second quarter grew 4.2% to $305.80 million from $293.40 million in the prior year quarter, reflecting sales growth in all three operating segments.

On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.04 per share on revenue of $312.58 million for the second quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
