National Grid Fiscal Year Pretax Profit Rises - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - National Grid plc (NG.L, NGG) reported statutory pretax profit of 2.75 billion pounds for the year ended 31 March 2014, compared to 2.71 billion pounds, previous year. Profit attributable to equity shareholders of the parent increased to 2.48 billion pounds, from 2.15 billion pounds. Earnings per share was 66.1 pence, compared to 57.5 pence.

Adjusted pre tax profit rose to 2.58 billion pounds from 2.53 billion pounds. Adjusted earnings per share was 54.0 pence, compared to 51.4 pence.

Revenue were 14.81 billion pounds, compared to 14.36 billion pounds, previous year.

The Board of National Grid has recommended an increase in the final dividend to 27.54 pence per ordinary share. If approved, this will bring the full year dividend to 42.03 pence per ordinary share, an increase of 2.9%.
