National Fuel Gas Q3 Profit Tops View - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - National Fuel Gas Company (NFG) Thursday reported third-quarter net income of $64.5 million or $0.76 per share, compared to $58.5 million or $0.69 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

On average, eight analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.73 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Operating revenues increased to $440.14 million from $440.01 million last year, while four analysts expected revenues of $476.35 million.

Looking ahead to the fiscal 2014, the company is narrowing its GAAP earnings guidance to a range of $3.40 to $3.50 per share. The previous earnings guidance had been a range of $3.40 to $3.55 per share. Analysts currently expect full-year earnings of $3.47 per share.

The company said its preliminary GAAP earnings guidance for fiscal 2015 is in the range of $3.30 to $3.60 per share. Analysts now expect fiscal 2015 earnings of $3.62 per share.
