Mom365 releases the most popular baby names of 2016

SAINT CHARLES, Mo., Jan. 3, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- As the year comes to a close, Mom365 is consulting its Baby Names website to see what monikers were most popular for newborn boys and girls in the U.S. in 2016. One of the largest lists of its type available today, the tracker updates its data daily - so parents have the most current information possible.

Although the catalogue is always subject to change, the website has remained fairly steady in its calculations. Here are the most popular names - both overall and by gender - for 2016:
