Mobile Mini Turns To Profit In Q2, Earnings Miss Estimates

(MINI), a supplier of portable storage solutions, Wednesday reported second-quarter net earnings of $9.3 million or $0.20 per share, compared with a net loss of $14.4 million or $0.32 per share last year. The prior year results included a charge of $40.2 million related to the impairment of certain leasing and other assets determined to be either non-core or uneconomic to repair. On an adjusted basis, second quarter net income totaled $10.8 million or $0.23 per share. On average, 8 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.24 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items. Revenues rose to $106.5 million from $97.13 million a year ago. Analysts expected revenue of $105.93 million. The company said its regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.17 per share will be paid on September 3, to shareholders on record August 20.
