Micros Systems Q4 Profit Down

(RTTNews) - Micros Systems Inc. (MCRS) Thursday reported fourth-quarter net income of $42.0 million or $0.53 per share, down from $48.2 million or $0.59 per share last year.

Adjusted earnings for the quarter dropped to $0.62 per share from $0.68 per share last year. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.62 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Total revenues for the fourth quarter rose to $328.6 million from $302.5 million last year. Analysts estimated revenues of $324.9 million for the quarter.

Looking forward to the full year 2014, Micros's expects adjusted earnings of $2.46 to $2.50 per share and revenues of $1.295 billion to $1.320 billion. Analysts currently estimate earnings of $2.47 per share on revenues of $1.31 billion for the year.
