Melco Crown Entertainment Q4 Profit Down - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Melco Crown Entertainment Limited (MPEL) reported that its net income attributable to the company for the fourth quarter of 2014 declined to $92.9 million, or $0.17 per ADS, from $223.2 million, or $0.40 per ADS, in the fourth quarter of 2013.

Adjusted earnings per ADS were $0.22 compared to $0.42 last year.

Net revenue for the fourth quarter of 2014 was $1.121 billion, representing a decrease of approximately 20% from $1.395 billion for the comparable period in 2013. The decline in net revenue was primarily attributable to lower group-wide rolling chip revenues and mass market table games revenues.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $0.27 per share and revenues of $1.14 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
