TORONTO, Sept. 20, 2017 /CNW/ -- Media iQ, the leading global analytics and technology company, has hired two respected executives to lead its business development efforts in the Canadian market. Canada continues to be a hugely exciting market for Media iQ as the company continues to invest in best in class commercial talent to reflect that potential for growth. According to the IAB, The Canadian online display market grew 23% in 2016 to just under $2Billion dollars and the overall online spend levels in Canada for 2017 are projected to increase 13% to just over $6 billion.

"Media iQ has experienced explosive growth in revenues across the same period growing by 146% in 2016 and approximately 110% so far this year," said Alfie Atkinson, Managing Director, Media iQ. "We are seeing more and more agencies and clients working with us to glean business intelligence through programmatic display data. Hiring senior talent who can help better empower our agency and client partners with insights is key to our growth strategy for 2018 and beyond."

With extensive experience in advertising, media sales and programmatic, Chris Griffiths joins Media iQ from AcuityAds where he led sales for managed and self-serve programmatic platforms and launched the company's socially powered mobile property in Canada.

"I'm really looking forward to building a top sales team here to bring our world-class analytics and attribution technologies to Canadian brands and independent agencies," said Griffiths and added "the potential is simply enormous here."

Furlano comes to Media iQ from BrightRoll, where he most recently served as Sales Director. "I was attracted to Media iQ in part for the unique analytics we can provide to our partners - something a lot of technology partners simply cannot offer – as well as the explosive growth ahead in North America," he says.

"We are incredibly excited to have these talented individuals join us to head up our sales efforts," said Atkinson. "Jason's experience working at and with agencies was absolutely vital to us as we look to deepen our relationships with agency clients. And hiring someone of Chris' experience and reputation is a huge coup for us, as he will be responsible for a key growth area."
