MAXIMUS Wins North East Yorkshire And Humber Work Programme Contract

(RTTNews) - MAXIMUS, Inc. (MMS), a provider of business process services to government health agencies, Friday announced that it has been awarded a contract by the Department for Work and Pensions or DWP for its flagship Work Programme in North East Yorkshire and the Humber.

MAXIMUS succeeds NCG and will formally take over the running of the Work Programme across North East Yorkshire and the Humber from February 2, 2015. The company currently delivers the Work Programme in West London, the Thames Valley, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

As per DWP figures, the Work Programme has helped more than 330,000 people into a job they have held for at least six months. Research published in September by the Employment Related Services Association has also shown the Work Programme will deliver 18 billion pounds in value to the economy during the lives of jobseekers on the programme.
