Masimo Q3 Profit Beats View, Updates 2014 Outlook

(RTTNews) - Masimo Corporation (MASI) posted third-quarter net income attributable to stockholders of $14.9 million or $0.27 per share, compared to $15.6 million or $0.27 per share in the prior year period.

On average, eight analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.25 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Total revenue for the quarter, including royalties, rose 10 percent to $144.12 million from $131.45 million in the comparable quarter last year. Analysts expected revenue of $144.19 million for the quarter.

For fiscal 2014, Masimo now expects earnings of about $1.28 per share and total revenue to be about $585 million. Earlier, the company forecast earnings between $1.24 and $1.30 per share and total revenue of about $588 million to $593 million.

Analysts now expect fiscal 2014 earnings of $1.24 per share on revenue of $586.93 million.
