Maryland Partners Bank (a division of Virginia Partners Bank) Opens LPO in Annapolis, MD

FREDERICKSBURG, Va., Jan. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Maryland Partners Bank (a division of Virginia Partners Bank) today announced its continued expansion into Maryland with the opening of a loan production office (LPO) in Annapolis, the state capital and county seat of Anne Arundel County.  Maryland Partners Bank also operates a full service branch and commercial banking office in La Plata.

"Expansion into Annapolis and Anne Arundel County is consistent with our strategic plan," said Lloyd B. Harrison, III, president and CEO of Virginia Partners Bank. "It has a strong, vibrant economy and is complementary to our presence in Southern Maryland and Fredericksburg, Virginia. As with our two existing markets, Annapolis has a similar proximity to Washington."

The LPO, which opened Jan. 9, offers a full range of commercial loans, including lines of credit, equipment loans, commercial mortgages, and commercial construction loans. The bank has hired Peter J. Stephan and John F. Camden as vice presidents to develop commercial business in the greater Annapolis market. They can be reached at PStephan@MDPartnersBank.com and JCamden@MDPartnersBank.com.

"Both Mr. Stephan and Mr. Camden are seasoned and talented commercial bankers with strong knowledge of the Annapolis and Anne Arundel markets," said Mr. Harrison. "They appreciate the Partners Bank brand of community banking and are the ideal team to bring our award-winning customer service to a new market for us."

Prior to joining Maryland Partners Bank, Mr. Stephan worked for First Citizens Bank and Howard Bank.  He is a past president of the Anne Arundel Commercial Industrial Association and of the Touchdown Club of Annapolis. Mr. Camden worked for First National Bank and Sandy Spring Bank.  He is the volunteer head coach for Navy Youth Hockey and is active in the Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce. He is also a past recipient of the Next Leaders in Banking award from the Maryland Bankers Association.

Since Virginia Partners Bank was founded in 2008 it has grown to $372 million in assets. There are three full-service branches in Fredericksburg, VA, and, under the Maryland Partners Bank brand, one full service branch in La Plata, MD. For more information, visit virginiapartnersbank.com
