    HYDERABAD, India--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 3, 2005--Magma(R) Design Automation India, a wholly owned subsidiary of Magma(R) Design Automation Inc., (Nasdaq:LAVA), today announced that it has successfully partnered with the International Institute of Information Technology-Hyderabad (IIIT-Hyderabad) to drive adoption of Magma's industry-leading IC Implementation tools. The partnership is a significant milestone for Magma India's ambitious "India IC Excellence" initiative announced last year with the aim of creating an ecosystem to address the manpower challenges faced by the Indian semiconductor industry. As part of the partnership, Magma has provided IIIT-Hyderabad with licenses of its next-generation EDA tools, as well as comprehensive technical support and guidance to enable adoption of these tools.
