LSB's Jack Golsen To Step Down As CEO, Assume Role Of Executive Chairman

(RTTNews) - LSB Industries Inc (LXU), a maker of chemical and climate control products, on Tuesday said that Jack Golsen, currently chairman of the board and chief executive officer and the founder of the company, will step down as CEO and assume the role of executive chairman, effective January 1, 2015.

At that time, Barry Golsen, currently president and chief operating officer, will assume the role of president and CEO, and will also remain a director of the company.

Jack Golsen founded LSB Industries in 1969 and has served as chairman of the board and CEO since the company's inception. Golsen previously served as the company's president from 1969 until 2004.

Barry Golsen is board vice-chairman, president and COO of LSB Industries. Golsen joined LSB Industries in 1978 as a product manager at International Environmental Corp (IEC) and became executive vice president of IEC in 1979 and president in 1980.

LSB also announced that Mark Behrman, senior vice president of Corporate Development, has been appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective as of the 2015 annual meeting of shareholders. Behrman will succeed Tony Shelby, who plans to retire in twelve months. Effective as of the 2015 annual meting of shareholders, Tony Shelby will transition from CFO to the role of executive vice president to ensure a smooth transition.
