Live Nation Inc. Q2 Profit Rises 151%

(RTTNews) - Live Nation Inc. (LYV) released earnings for its second quarter that climbed compared to the same period last year.

The company said its bottom line climbed to $37.74 million, or $0.13 per share. This was up from $15.06 million, or $0.06 per share, in last year's second quarter.

Analysts had expected the company to earn $0.08 per share, according figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company said revenue for the quarter rose 23.2% to $2.18 billion. This was up from $1.77 billion last year.
