Liberty Star Pays for All Arizona Project USBLM claims, Liang Resigns
Liberty Star Uranium & Metals Corp. ("Liberty Star” or the "Company”) (OTCQB: LBSR) is pleased to announce 2013/2014 yearly rental fees for federal claim blocks for all Arizona exploration projects have been paid to the United States Bureau of Land Management (USBLM) from the Company’s operating funds account. The Arizona USBLM claims comprise the Company’s three Arizona mineral exploration stage projects: the North Pipes Super Project for uranium and other metals in northwest Arizona, the East Silver Bell Porphyry Copper Project and the Tombstone Super Project, including Hay Mountain for porphyry copper, gold, moly and rare earth elements.
Additional land maintenance fees for Hay Mountain properties in the form of Arizona State Mineral Exploration Permits (MEPs) are due to the Arizona State Land Department in September.
Effective immediately, Larry Liang has resigned. Larry was the Company’s president and had served on the board of directors since 2009. In his letter of resignation Liang noted that he and his wife were living in China full time and that currently he could not give full attention to his job with Liberty Star. Company CEO Jim Briscoe will act as president until a replacement is named. Comments Briscoe: "We will miss Larry’s high energy attitude, and hope to work with him in the future in some way. He is very enthusiastic about the Liberty Star story and is attuned to the business atmosphere in China.”
