Level Equity Closes New Funds

NEW YORK, Oct. 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Level Equity Management, LLC, a private investment firm, announced the closing of Level Equity Growth Partners IV and Level Equity Opportunities Fund 2018.  The funds secured $535 million and $200 million respectively in limited partner commitments, bringing Level's total capital raised to $1.7 billion.

Level also announced the promotion of Charles Chen to Partner, Gautam Gupta to Principal and David Fleishman to Senior Associate.  Charles joined Level in 2013 after receiving his MBA from The Wharton School.  He was previously on the investment team at Technology Crossover Ventures and with Morgan Stanley's technology investment banking division.  Gautam joined Level in 2015 from Vista Equity Partners where he worked prior to and after receiving his MBA from The Wharton School.  He was previously with Merrill Lynch's technology investment banking group.  David joined Level in 2015 after graduating from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.

Level has 26 team members based in New York City and San Francisco.  The firm has completed 42 investments and 18 liquidity events across its growth equity and structured capital business lines since its founding in 2009.  In the last 2 years, Level has completed 2 majority recapitalizations and 11 sales including BoardEffect to Diligent, ECI Software to Apax Partners, Ensenta to Jack Henry & Associates, Riskonnect to Thoma Bravo and Wombat Security to Proofpoint.
