Level 3, Tw Telecom Shareholders Approve Acquisition

(RTTNews) - Level 3 Communications, Inc. (LVLT) and tw telecom inc. (TWTC) said Tuesday that shareholders of both companies have voted to approve Level 3's proposed acquisition of tw telecom.

In Mid-June, Level 3 agreed to buy business ethernet provider TW Telecom in a stock and cash deal of about $7.3 billion.

The U.S. Justice Department and the U.S. Federal Communications Commission have already cleared the deal.

Level 3 expects to close the tw telecom acquisition prior to November 5.

The company will report third quarter results on November 5, when it plans to discuss third quarter earnings results for both Level 3 and tw telecom during the call.
