Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Names Anthony Thompson CEO

(RTTNews) - Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Inc. (KKD) said Tuesday that its Board of Directors has appointed Anthony Thompson as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective June 1.

Thompson, 47, is expected to be appointed to the company's Board of Directors in the near future.

James Morgan, who currently serves as Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President, will continue to serve the company on a full-time basis as its Executive Chairman.

Thompson joins Krispy Kreme Doughnuts from Papa John's International, Inc. (PZZA), where he most recently served as President and Chief Operating Officer.
