Krispy Kreme Celebrates "Day Of The Dozens" With $1 Dozen Deal

(RTTNews) - Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Inc. (KKD) is celebrating its annual "Day of the Dozens" on Wednesday with a sweet offer.

The company said that on Wednesday, December 12, or 12/12, customers can buy one dozen of the Original Glazed doughnuts for just $1, with the purchase of another dozen doughnuts at the regular price at participating shops across the U.S.

"On 12/12 buy 12 get 12 more for just $1. A dozen Original Glazed doughnuts for $1 is a sweet deal. Come in and enjoy!" said Dave Skena, Chief Marketing Officer for Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.

Krispy Kreme said its "Day of Dozens" offer is limited to two deals per customer.

In late November, Krispy Kreme announced the return of its limited-edition decorated holiday doughnuts, available through December 24 at participating shops across the U.S. and Canada.

The company's holiday doughnuts include Santa Belly Doughnut, Ugly Sweater Doughnut, Holiday Plaid Doughnut, and Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles Doughnut.

Santa Belly Doughnut is a chocolate Kreme filled shell dipped in red icing and decorated to look like Santa's jolly belly. Ugly Sweater Doughnut, a take on the festive ugly sweater trend, is dipped in green icing, sprinkled with confetti and decorated with over-the-top reindeer and penguin candy pieces.

The Holiday Plaid Doughnut is an Original Glazed Doughnut dipped in icing and decorated in a fun red and green plaid design, while Chocolate Iced with Sprinkles Doughnut is chocolate iced ring with festive holiday sprinkles.

Krispy Kreme has also introduced a classic seasonal beverage - the Peppermint Mocha. Available hot, iced and frozen, this sip-by-the-fireplace beverage features a rich espresso, dark chocolate and frosty peppermint flavor, finished with whipped cream and mini chocolate chips.
