Kindred Healthcare Chairman Edward Kuntz Not To Stand For Board Re-election

(RTTNews) - Kindred Healthcare, Inc. (KND) said its Board Chairman Edward Kuntz would retire and not stand for re-election to the board at the 2014 annual meeting of shareholders. Kuntz's term will expire effective upon conclusion of the Company's 2014 annual meeting of shareholders. In addition, the firm announced that Kuntz would continue to serve the board in an advisory capacity following his services as a board member.

Kuntz has served as Chairman of the board since May 2009. He served as the Executive Chairman of the Board from January 2004 to May 2009 and as the company's Chairman and Chief Executive from January 1999 to December 31, 2003.
