Juniper Networks Q1 Results Top Estimates; Q2 Outlook Upbeat

(RTTNews) - Juniper Networks, Inc. (JNPR) reported net income for the first quarter of $80.2 million or $0.19 per share, compared to $110.6 million or $0.22 per share for the year-ago quarter.

Excluding items, adjusted net income for the latest quarter was $131.6 million or $0.32 per share.

Net revenues for the first quarter fell 9% to $1.07 billion from $1.17 billion a year ago.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.31 per share on revenue of $1.04 billion for the first quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Looking forward to the second quarter, the company forecasts revenues of $1.09 billion to $1.12 billion and adjusted earnings of $0.38 to $0.42 per share. Analysts currently expect the company to earn $0.38 per share on revenue fo $1.09 billion for the second quarter.
