Jabil Circuit Q3 Profit Soars; Issues Q4 Outlook - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Jabil Circuit Inc. (JBL) Wednesday reported third-quarter net income attributable to the company of $188.3 million, or $0.93 per share, compared to $50.1 million, or $0.24 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

Core loss for the quarter was $11.3 million, or $0.06 per share, compared to core earnings of $98.2 million, or $0.47 per share last year.

On average, 12 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.09 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For the latest third quarter, revenues declined to $3.79 billion from $4.20 billion in the year-ago period. Ten analysts estimated revenues of $3.60 billion for the quarter.
