J.P. Morgan Announces that Michael Lynch Joins as Vice Chairman of Investment Banking

J.P. Morgan announced today that Michael Lynch has joined the investment bank as Vice Chairman of Investment Banking. Mr. Lynch was with Goldman Sachs in the Investment Banking Division from 1976 to 2005 and was made a partner of the firm in 1986. He has broad experience in financial and merger advisory, debt and equity transactions and new business solicitation. From 1991 to 1995 he managed Goldman’s investment banking business in Latin America. Most recently he was with GSC Group, a registered investment advisor.

"His experience across an array of industry sectors and geographies, as well as his long-standing client relationships, will be a tremendous asset to J.P. Morgan.”

Mr. Lynch received an MBA from The University of Texas and a BA from Rice University. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Williams-Sonoma Inc., a Trustee Emeritus of Rice University and a Trustee of The Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, Massachusetts. Mr. Lynch is a member of the Boards of Directors of East Side House Settlement and Good Shepherd Services, two New York based social services agencies. He is also a Trustee of the Glyndebourne Arts Trust, which administers the Glyndebourne Festival Opera in East Sussex, England.
