Iron Mountain Opens New Kansas Records Management Facility

WICHITA, Kan., Oct. 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Iron Mountain Incorporated® (NYSE: IRM), the global leader in storage and information management services, today announced the opening of a new information management facility in Wichita at 3144 N Ohio St. The opening of the records storage and secure shredding facility featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony and was attended by State Senator Oletha Faust-Goudeau (District 29), State Representative Ponka-We Victors (District 103), Sedgwick County Commissioner Richard Ranzau (District 4), and Vice Mayor Janet Miller, along with guided facility tours.

The 22,000 square foot facility has a total storage capacity of 350,000 records storage boxes and will serve the greater Wichita south Central Kansas business community.  It joins Iron Mountain's underground and above ground facilities in Kansas City, the recently acquired Stacks Secure Records in Topeka, Kansas (as well as the company's 1,400-plus facilities worldwide) in providing services for records storage, data management, data centers, secure shredding and document imaging.

"I commend Iron Mountain's decision to open one of their facilities here in the Wichita area creating jobs through economic development," said State Senator Faust-Goudeau. "This new business will make a substantial economic impact in our community and the state of Kansas."

"Wichita enjoys a thriving economy. Iron Mountain will create new jobs and further strengthen our economy and community," said State Representative Victors.

"Wichita is pleased to welcome Iron Mountain and further add to our vibrant employer mix," said Vice Mayor Miller. "As we look to add more employers to our community, having a high-performing, secure enterprise storage organization in our city will help make our community even more attractive to prospective new businesses."

"We chose Wichita due to the combination of local existing Iron Mountain customers and the opportunity to grow our presence in Kansas," said Jim Dodson, senior vice president & general manager, Records Management, Iron Mountain. "Organizations are looking to tap into their information assets as a valuable source of insight for improving their business and bottom line. As a first step toward realizing that value, they need to understand what they have and how best to store and manage it. Our services can help by ensuring that information is accessible while also secure and protected. We look forward to serving the local and regional Wichita business community with our world-class solutions for storing and managing their most critical information."
