IPIX Hires Chief Technology Officer

    VIENNA, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 22, 2005--IPIX Corporation (NASDAQ:IPIX), a premium supplier of visual intelligence technologies, announced today the hiring of Geoff Egnal, Ph.D., as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) responsible for leading IPIX's new product and technology development. As CTO, Egnal will also be in charge of securing external research funding and guiding internal research efforts.

    Egnal previously served as senior scientist for ObjectVideo, a video surveillance software company, where he was a part of the core team in charge of technology fundraising and grant management, as well as research and product engineering. He also worked as a consultant for the Monitor Company, a strategic consultancy, and was founder of ViewMaven, a video special effects company for sports broadcasts.
