Intervoice Executives and Speech Experts to Present at 11th Annual SpeechTEK International Exposition and Educational Conference

Natural Language Processing and Dialog Design
Mike Polcyn, Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice

-- Susan Hura, Ph.D., Head of User Experience at Intervoice, will
participate in an all-day SpeechTEK User Interface workshop on
August 1, 2005, with several other industry-leading VUI
designers to determine current guidelines for designing a
successful voice user interface.

Understand What Your Customers Really Want from Automation
Jenni McKienzie, VUI Designer at Intervoice, will join other
speech industry experts in discussing what customers want and
need, not what vendors want to sell or implementers want to
build. McKienzie's portion will focus on the role of modality.
Ron Owens, Vice President of Professional Services at
Intervoice, will moderate this session.

Voice User Interface Part I: Usability on the Sly
Susan Hura, Ph.D., Head of User Experience at Intervoice, will
discuss usability methods, tips and techniques for gathering

Using Speech to Increase Revenues
George Platt, Senior Vice President and General Manager of
Intervoice's Enterprise Business Division will present on how
adaptive interaction is improving the customer experience and
how personalized options not only stimulate customer loyalty
and satisfaction, but also generate revenue by selling goods
and services.

Accelerating Time-to-Market Part II: Review of Tools and
Methodologies
John Fuentes, Senior Application Architect at Intervoice, will
discuss advantages of available tools that simplify speech
application design and development.

Defining the Customer Experience
George Platt of Intervoice will present on how Intervoice
defines the "customer experience" and the technology and
vision needed to ensure companies are ahead of the curve.

Making Speaker Verification Work for the Enterprise
Jennifer Wilmer, VUI Design Specialist for Intervoice, will
join an expert-panel discussion on security within speech
applications, especially those dealing with money or personal
information.
Intervoice and partners will also sponsor the SpeechTEK Receptionon Tuesday evening, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Intervoice willshowcase its speech recognition capabilities at the SpeechTEKConference and Expo at booth #303.
