InterMune Prices Public Offering Of 6.5 Mln Shares At $13/share

(RTTNews) - InterMune, Inc. (ITMN) announced the pricing of 6.5 million common shares at $13.00 per share in an underwritten public offering. The company expects to close this transaction on or about November 12, 2013

InterMune has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 975,000 shares of common stock in connection with the offering.

InterMune estimates offering net proceeds to be about $79.6 million (assuming no exercise of the underwriters' option to purchase additional shares of common stock), after expenses.

InterMune intends to use offering net proceeds to fund the commercialization of Esbriet® (pirfenidone) and its ASCEND clinical trial for U.S. registration of Esbriet and for general corporate purposes.
