Imprivata Shares Tank On Weak Q3 Outlook

(RTTNews) - Shares of Imprivata Inc. (IMPR) plunged 26 percent on Wednesday after the healthcare information company detailed a weak outlook for the third quarter.

Lexington, Massachusetts-based Imprivata expects third-quarter loss of $0.30 to $0.29 per share, and adjusted loss of $0.23 to $0.22 per share. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters currently estimate loss of $0.20 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.

Imprivata expects revenues for the third quarter of $28.9 million to $29.2 million. Analysts currently estimate revenues of $31.43 million for the quarter.

"In the last few days of the third quarter, we unexpectedly saw some Imprivata OneSign deals get delayed, which led to lower than expected revenue growth," said Omar Hussain, President and CEO of Imprivata.
