Annual Global Event Features Honeywell, Intuit, Logitech, St. Jude
Children's Research Hospital and Toyota Financial Services Among
Customers Sharing Business Performance Management Solutions

More than 4,000 Hyperion (Nasdaq:HYSL) customers and partners are expected to attend Solutions 2005, the company's global conference and the world's premier event for Business Performance Management. This year's conference will take place at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, La., April 10-13, 2005.
Solutions 2005 will include more than 250 sessions and demonstrations by Hyperion customers and partners. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a hands-on dashboard workshop, visit a dedicated lab showcasing Business Performance Management applications and technology solutions, and network with more than 50 independent software vendors, global systems integrators and Hyperion partners such as Accenture, BEA, Deloitte Consulting LLP, HP, IBM, Ranzal and Associates and Temtec.
Customers such as Broward County School District, Honeywell, Intuit, Kansas City Life Insurance, Logitech, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, ThyssenKrupp, Toyota Financial Services and University of Vermont are among featured customers who will showcase their experiences on a range of business and performance issues including:

    Dynamic Performance Visibility

Intuit will show rich, intuitive and dynamic dashboards created with the Hyperion Business Intelligence Platform. The session will also feature Hyperion's new dashboard building technology and best practices in dashboard design. Toyota Financial Services (TFS) will host a session about its experience transitioning from a disparate, manual spreadsheet environment to an automated, secure Web-enabled reporting system with Hyperion Essbase. TFS will also discuss its experience using dashboards to deliver critical financial data and performance visibility to executive management.

    Managing Compliance

Sarbanes-Oxley compliance will be a prominent topic at Solutions 2005. Kansas City Life Insurance will present the software solution that has been key to meeting strict SEC filing deadlines as part of its Sarbanes-Oxley compliance process. The company will also discuss how the compliance solution has resulted in greater visibility into company operations, and how this implementation has enabled managers to focus on data analysis rather than data preparation. Logitech will share the secrets of its successful implementation of Hyperion software and advanced analytics to help meet stringent external reporting requirements, including Sarbanes-Oxley. And ThyssenKrupp, a multinational enterprise of about 700 fully consolidated companies, will present how it migrated to an IFRS application using Hyperion Financial Management, as well as lessons learned focusing on security and process management in a staged consolidation process.

Planning and Reporting for the Enterprise

Honeywell will host a session focused on its migration from Hyperion Enterprise to Hyperion Financial Management, and how it is using the software to meet increasing needs for expanded reporting and analysis. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital will show how it is relying on the Hyperion Business Intelligence Platform to prepare and present treatment protocol analyses and reports from more than 75 different data marts. The presenters will show how the reporting process was shortened and new data marts were created in a fraction of the time -- saving nearly $1 million bi-annually.
Business Intelligence has become increasingly important in education. The University of Vermont will review the strategic planning process and how Hyperion software became a critical tool in translating strategy into action. Also, Broward County School District, the nation's sixth largest, will demonstrate the secure report interface that allows both staff and parents to check on student progress, and how this solution has improved decision making through enhanced management of the education process and funds reporting.
Solutions 2005 will also showcase the entire Hyperion product offering, including Hyperion applications and the Hyperion Business Intelligence Platform. Attendees will have access to products and services experts to help them explore Business Performance Management solutions. A complete list of session topics will be available during show registration.
