Huron Consulting Profit Tops Estimate; Lifts FY Guidance

(RTTNews) - Huron Consulting Group Inc (HURN) Tuesday reported second-quarter net earnings of $19.9 million or $0.86 per share, compared with $15.8 million or $0.69 per share last year.

Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.95 per share, compared with $0.75 per share a year ago.

Revenue for the quarter was up 23% at $209.4 million, compared with $170.4 million in the prior year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters projected earnings of $0.75 per share on revenue of $193.6 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

For the full year, the company now expects adjusted earnings of $3.25 to $3.40 per share and revenue of $805 million to $825 million; from prior range of $3 to $3.20 per share earnings and $765 million to $795 million revenue.

Analysts project earnings of $3.29 per share on revenue of $800.6 million for the year.
