Huron Consulting Group Announces Vice President Appointment

Huron Consulting Group (NASDAQ: HURN), a leading provider of financial and operational consulting services, today announced the appointment of Gordon J. Mountford to vice president of Healthcare Operational Consulting in the Company’s Health and Education Consulting segment.

As vice president of Healthcare Operational Consulting, Mountford will assume leadership responsibility for Wellspring Partners, Huron’s hospital performance improvement business, which helps hospital and health system clients improve the financial performance of both financially sound and distressed organizations through strategic, operational and organizational change. In his newly created position, Mountford will report to David Shade, vice president and leader of Huron’s Healthcare practice. The Healthcare practice also includes Stockamp, headed by Paul Kohlheim, vice president of Healthcare Revenue Consulting.

Mountford joined the Company as a managing director in January 2007 when Huron acquired the healthcare consulting firm Wellspring Partners. Prior to that, he served as a managing director in the healthcare provider practice of BearingPoint (formerly KPMG Consulting) and partner in the healthcare consulting practice of Arthur Andersen. Mountford is based in Los Angeles.
