Hortonworks Prices IPO At $16.00/shr, Above Expected $12 - $14/shr Range

(RTTNews) - Hortonworks Inc. announced the pricing of its initial public offering of 6.25 million shares of its common stock at a price to the public of $16.00 per share. Previously, the company expected to price initial public offering of 6 million shares between $12.00 and $14.00 per share.

The shares are expected to begin trading on the NASDAQ Global Select Market on December 12, 2014 under the symbol "HDP."

All of the shares are being offered by Hortonworks. In addition, Hortonworks has granted the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to 937,500 additional shares of common stock from Hortonworks.
