Hologic's Cynosure Division Announces North American Launch Of TempSure Vitalia

(RTTNews) - Hologic Inc.'s (HOLX) Cynosure division said it has launched TempSure Vitalia, an FDA-cleared and Health Canada-approved advanced radiofrequency treatment, in North America.

Hologic noted that birth control, pregnancy, hormones, and aging can change the condition of vaginal tissue over time. TempSure Vitalia delivers therapeutic heat to internal and external vaginal tissue to improve local circulation.

The TempSure Vitalia treatment is administered using a probe specifically designed for women's genitalia. It delivers precise heating for smaller, hard-to-reach areas such as vaginal and labial tissue, without hormones or the need for invasive procedures.

Treatments can last between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on the treatment area, and there is no downtime once the procedure is complete.

According to Hologic, unlike other radiofrequency devices, TempSure Vitalia has the distinct advantage of Therapeutic Logic Control or TLC - a time and temperature monitoring system that ensures treatment timing will begin only when the target tissue is at therapeutic temperature. This will help deliver repeatable treatment results procedure after procedure.

The device also has a unique dose counter that monitors and effectively delivers the recommended dose of radiofrequency energy to the target area.
