Hologic Q3 Profit Rises

(RTTNews) - Hologic Inc. (HOLX) Wednesday reported third-quarter profit of $84.8 million or $0.30 per share, up from $29.4 million or $0.10 per share last year.

Adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.51 per share, up from $0.43 per share last year.

Revenues for the quarter rose to $717.4 million from $693.9 million last year.

Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.48 per share and revenues of $704.27 million.

Looking forward to the fourth quarter, Hologic expects earnings of $0.49 to $0.50 per share and revenues of $714 million to $724 million. Analysts currently estimate earnings of $0.50 per share and revenues of $728.39 million.

For the full year 2016, the company now expects earnings of $1.93 to $1.94 per share and revenues of $2.82 billion to $2.83 billion. Analysts currently estimate earnings of $1.91 per share and revenues of $2.82 billion.

Earlier, the company expected earnings of $1.83 to $1.91 per share and revenues of $2.81 to $2.83 billion.
