Hologic Projects Q1 Total Revenues Of About $653 Mln - Quick Facts

(RTTNews) - Hologic, Inc. (HOLX) reported preliminary revenue results for its first quarter ended December 27, 2014.

The firm expects total revenues of around $653 million, a 7% increase year-over-year and an 8% growth on a constant currency basis. This exceeds the company's previous quarterly revenue guidance of $625 million - $635 million.

Furthermore, the company said it voluntarily prepaid $300 million of principal on its Term Loan B facility in December 2014.

The company's president and chief executive noted: "This better-than-expected performance, combined with the voluntary prepayment of debt, provide further evidence of a turnaround that continues to build momentum. While we're pleased with our results thus far, we're also mindful that there's still much to do."
